What Our Climbers Say
From EBC trekker to summit climber
I'd trekked to Everest Base Camp twice but never climbed. The glacier training at Island Peak Base Camp made all the difference — by the time we hit the headwall, using the jumar felt second nature. Standing on the summit looking straight at Everest was the moment of my life.
Anil's judgment call saved our summit
The weather turned at Base Camp overnight. Anil made the call to delay by four hours and we got a perfect weather window. That kind of experience only comes from years on the mountain. Himalayan Zen's logistics were flawless throughout.
A serious climb, led seriously well
Amadablam was my first technical 6,000m+ objective. The fixed-rope sections on the upper ridge were handled with complete professionalism — every anchor checked twice, every pitch planned. The whole team felt in safe hands from start to finish.
Moti's experience made the difference
Having completed the Kora over 70 times, Moti knew every turn, every acclimatization cue. When two of our group struggled with altitude, he adjusted the pace without ever making anyone feel like a burden. Quiet, seasoned leadership.
My first 6,000m — completely prepared
I had never worn crampons before Mera Peak. The glacier training day at Khare was brilliant — by the time we left high camp, everything felt like second nature. Watching Everest glow orange at sunrise is a memory I'll keep forever.
Ideal stepping stone to bigger peaks
Lobuche was the perfect next step after Island Peak. The glacier work is a bit more involved, and you feel the extra 4,000m of exposure on the summit ridge. Himalayan Zen's acclimatization schedule made the altitude completely manageable.
